Fall on the Little Phoenix Mountain is an abstraction inspired by a maple that in mid-September in 2019 overnight changed the color of its leaves from green to yellow and orange. It was a maple I saw near the top of the Little Phoenix Mountain in Western North Carolina.
Revolution Mill is a geometric abstraction inspired by old, repurposed, brick buildings that were transformed into modern spaces for creative work, highlighting the beauty of their weathered walls. This piece is titled after the Revolution Mill in Greensboro, NC, which exemplifies the vision for reinventing and revitalizing such historic structures. Revolution Mill was opened in 1898 by brothers Moses and Ceasar Cone and has an added significance for me because from 1995 to 1996 I worked for Cone Mills Corporation in Greensboro, NC as a CAD designer..
Green tranquility is an abstract painting in which I aim to express peace and tranquility as a state of mind.
